About LCARC

LCARC is an organization of amateur radio clubs and repeater owners. Our volunteers work to provide frequency coordination services to all amateur radio operators in Louisiana. LCARC is an ARRL affiliated council operating as a Louisiana non-profit corporation — annual meeting normally held during the Rayne Hamfest.

How coordination works

Coordination in the portal

Start a request →
  1. Submit a new or modification request in the portal with your site, ERP, and HAAT figures — no paper forms.
  2. Your regional coordinator reviews the request, records on-air observations, and flags conflicts early.
  3. State coordination runs engineering review, sends NOPC where needed, and issues a construction permit.
  4. Build, notify LCARC when on-air, and receive final coordination — all tracked in the portal.

Please do not purchase equipment until you receive your assignment. New systems must be operational within 6 months; systems off-air 3+ months may be de-coordinated. Contact your regional coordinator with questions.
